A glittering professional's career can conceal many of the most tragic stories. A winner of both the USA and World champions in hurdle events, Lolo Jones has reached her present standing through a lot of struggle and enormous amount of perseverance. Jones, who was born to a motherless family with five children suffering from poverty and hardships as a child, had an extremely challenging childhood. Her mother had been constantly shifting and even lived at the bottom of her home. Jones was required to relocate into a new school each throughout her time in high school because of this nomadic existence. Jones was able to move away from her mother and moved to Theodore Roosevelt in order for her to pursue her interest in track. Jones lived in four distinct houses during her years of high school so that she could study all in one location. Jones won an award called the Gatorade track and field athlete of the Award at the high school level. As a student cellist, Jones was also part of the school's orchestra. As she began college, Jones proved to be one of the most skilled hurdlers. In the 2002 NCAA Track & Field Championship, she won in the 100m hurdles. She was also one of those on the second team for the relay 100-meter event. Jones won the NCAA Indoor Hurdles event in the years 2003 as well as in 2004. Jones is training since 2005 when she finished her education. Jones won Torino Memorial in 2005, as well as Ostrava and Heusden tracks events the following year.

Brandt relocated from Cape Town South Africa to Auckland New Zealand at the end of her teens. Lesley-Ann Brandt, a South African actress who was born in Cape Town on 2nd of December, 1981. She is a renowned New Zealand actress. Lesley Brandt, along with the rest of her family, relocated into Auckland New Zealand back in 1999. In Auckland Brandt started as an employee in the retail sector, and later was upgraded to IT Management Consultant. Lesley has performed in numerous commercials after doing a couple of modelling projects. In 2008, she concluded her studies in acting. In 2009, she began her acting studies she began her training again with the Meisner technique of studying. Lesley Brandt's debut notable actor role was on the TV drama series Diplomatic Immunity, which aired in New Zealand. Lesley Brandt appeared in the New Zealand drama Shortland Street in the role of a guest supporting character. Then she appeared on a sci-fi drama called This Is Not My Life which was based upon Waimoana, a fictional city. Waimoana. Lesley Brandt played Naevia in the series Spartacus: Blood and Sand. The character was later reprised as Naevia in Spartacus: Gods of the Arena.
